Your Website should be a never-ending roundabout, a continuous circle of planning, publishing reviewing, updating your content and design, and then going through it all again, and again, and again. Keep reading to learn the importance of regularly reviewing your website and how it can help your business.

Maybe, you have just launched your new website and think that is it for a few years… right? Wrong.

Like with most things in life your website will require regular maintenance to ensure it stays running as it should and is generating you enquiries.

Let’s take your website content as an example. You may have had an initial plan of the pages you needed and wrote your content initially so you have something on the page to enable your site to go live. It might be the bare minimum, a few lines to a paragraph or two at most. But, it says what you do, and you think it is enough, for now. That may get you off the starting blocks but it will not be sufficient to convince Google let alone your customers that you are an expert in your industry.

So now it is time for a review, is the content sufficient, does it answer your client’s questions, have you missed anything? You update your copy and publish again, and wait to see what impact the changes made. And, before you know it you should be reviewing the results, analysing the traffic and updating your website again, how does it compare to your competitors, have you had any price increases or staff changes etc that you need to amend? You publish it once more, and so it goes on, round and round and round you go.

The good news is these reviews and updates all help to ensure your customers are happy, have the information they need and are having all their questions answered. This in turn means they are more likely to buy from you.

But, also the regular updates to your content, and the expansion of the information available on your website will also have a positive impact on your position in Google search rankings. As Google perceives you as being more authoritative in your space, they promote you more to those searching for your products or services.

So while you may feel you are stuck in a never-ending roundabout of website reviews, you are actually working hard to promote your business and attract new customers!

Remember Plan, Publish, Review and Update.
