Meet Dani Rankin, the unstoppable force at Red Box who joined the team as a developer in early 2021. How did Dani find this amazing opportunity, you ask? It’s all thanks to a close Uni friend, Alex Volley, who knew of Dani’s exceptional talents and helped make it happen. Talk about a perfect match!
Dani is not your average developer. With an overflowing fountain of enthusiasm, he constantly brings fresh ideas and streamlined ways of working to the table. He’s always thinking outside the box, and his energy levels are off the charts! And let’s not forget about his secret weapon—coffee! It might be fair to say that Dani has a slight addiction to that magical caffeinated elixir. But despite his high-energy nature, Dani remains the most laid-back team member. He’s like the yin and yang of productivity!
Although Dani rarely asks for help, he’s always there to lend a hand to his colleagues. Thankfully, the development and support team is a tight-knit bunch, regularly catching up on Zoom calls. So even if Dani is tucked away in his techy studio/office, he’s still an integral part of the team. You can count on him to deliver outstanding work and support his fellow teammates with gusto.
One of Dani’s superpowers lies in his exceptional customer service skills. Customers absolutely adore him because they know he’ll go above and beyond to help them. He’s a walking encyclopedia of information and is always willing to share his knowledge (maybe even a little more than necessary—oops, sorry, Dani!). He’s also the first to offer training and assistance to our staff. Talk about being a team player!
When it comes to Dani’s passions, two loves reign supreme in his life. Music takes the top spot, with computers and gaming following closely behind. Music is not just a hobby for Dani—it’s his true passion. He lives and breathes it. In addition to holding a master’s degree in Music, he has played a pivotal role in various bands, including No Favors, Gypsy Pistolero’s, and Circus Junkie Rebels. Talk about a rockstar!
Dani’s love for computers started at a young age when he received a custom-built PC at around 9 years old. Instead of just playing games, he became captivated by the inner workings of the machine. He fearlessly disassembled and rebuilt it multiple times, gaining hands-on experience and deepening his understanding of computers. This curiosity and hands-on approach to learning have been constant companions throughout his journey. Dani’s self-education and relentless pursuit of knowledge played a significant role in him being one of only four individuals to pass his university degree in Website Development and Design.
