No matter what your current role is in your business, be it, business owner, or marketing assistant, we would hedge our bets that you have a full week every week before you even consider adding time for your new website into your schedule. It is understandable that you may be concerned that having a new website may be more hassle than it is worth at present, or just that there are literally not enough days in the week for you to squeeze in another project.

Let me put your mind at ease…

Websites are a big project, you are right, and, they deserve dedicated time and attention to ensure you get the results you desire.

After 16 years of working with companies large and small, and customers in exactly the same situation as you are now, we have come up with the blueprint to get your site designed, built and launched in the easiest, simplest and speediest way possible.

Your website with Red Box won’t turn into a time bandit if you follow our proven path to website success.

Prior to approaching a website provider, ideally, you should have created a website brief, this is a document that lays out details of your business, and your requirements and includes a general scope of your needs. If you need help with what to consider before getting a new website you can read that HERE

The blueprint…

Initial conversation (approx 15 minutes)  to establish an overview of your general requirements, required timescales for completion and importantly your budget. We know everyone hates questions about their budget. Many people assume it is so ‘salespeople’ can try and sell them the most expensive ‘option’ they can. Let us dispel that idea straight away.

Budget is an important aspect that will allow both parties to know if we are likely to be able to work together, and will ultimately save you wasting a whole load of your time. This is because if your budget is too low for your requirements we can advise you immediately so you can rethink your plans.

Let us explain with a simple example…

You visit a department store looking for new bed sheets, you want silk sheets but have a budget of £40. Your budget isn’t sufficient, but it doesn’t mean you can’t get new sheets, just not the super high-quality ones you were hoping for. If on the other hand, you hadn’t given the assistant your budget, they may show you the lower-end range of sheets. You will then spend more time going up the ranges until you reach the price point and quality you both want and can afford. This is much the same with a website, sharing your approximate budget will only save you and the website design company a lot of time rather than get to the end of a few meetings to find out they are out of your price range.

So now we have agreed we are on the same page, the next step is…

Deeper discovery call (approx 1 hour) A more detailed meeting establishing the finer detail of your business. Your website brief is discussed in detail including your competitors, your ideal clients, the geographical location you cover, your products and services and required functionality of your dream website and your marketing plans (if any) for after your site has gone live.

This allows us to put together a strategic plan for your website and any required marketing activities to ensure your website achieves your goals.

Strategy and Quotation Presentation (30 Minutes) Your website quote and marketing strategy are explained and your questions answered. We will present to you the results of our research into your industry, sector and the potential results you can expect from certain marketing activities such as Google Ads. If you have happy, we agree the terms and involve our project and website specialists.

Kick-Off Meeting (15 – 30 Minutes) Meet your project manager, agree on the finer details of your website project, and provide us with any assets, such as logos, images etc. Your website project will now be passed to the design team.

Over to the Red Box Team (approx 1 hour of your time) It is down to the Red Box team now to work their magic and create your website. Your only involvement now is to sign off on the design and provide us with the copy (content) for your website. If you are utilising our in-house copywriting services or using an external copywriter you will need to allow a small amount of time to liaise with these and agree to your copy. If you are writing the content yourself it may take you a little longer, we will, however, provide you with some handy guides to help you along the way!

Website Live! It’s here at last, your website is live and now it is down to you to tell the world and promote your website.

Unfortunately, having a website in itself won’t get you any more leads or sales without promotion, hard work and attention. Like growing a plant from seed, you have to nurture it, maintain and care for it regularly. If you have arranged a search engine optimisation package, Google Ads, or other marketing packages with us you can sit back and relax a little more knowing we are taking care of that for you. If you want to find out more about our marketing services you can read more HERE.
